Cookie Policy

Last updated:

This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on the ACL Voice website and application. It only describes categories that are actually used. ACL Voice does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies on the public website. This policy may be updated if new categories are introduced.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file placed on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit a website. It can, for example, remember a session state, support security or keep a user choice.

Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage), may be used for the same purposes. This policy covers them as well.

Necessary cookies

These cookies and technologies are essential to the operation of the website and the service. They cannot be turned off in the consent module, because the service could not be provided reliably without them.

They may in particular be used to:

  • Authenticate authorised users and maintain the session.
  • Protect the service against certain security risks (for example, protection of authenticated requests).
  • Remember your cookie-consent choice.
  • For users signed in to the dashboard, keep a strictly functional interface state (for example, whether a navigation menu is open).

Duration: authentication session cookies are kept for the session or for a limited period needed for account security. Other necessary cookies are kept for a period proportionate to their purpose, then expire or are renewed.

Preference cookies and storage

These technologies are optional. They allow certain interface choices to be remembered on your device:

  • The display language of the interface (English or French).
  • The display theme (light or dark).

These preferences are currently stored locally on your device. They are saved only if you accept preference cookies / technologies. If you refuse them, the interface can still work, but your language and theme choices will not be kept from one visit to the next.

Duration: until you delete them, withdraw your consent, or an internal technical duration is reached.

Analytics and marketing cookies

As of the date of this policy, the ACL Voice public website does not use audience-measurement, behavioural-analysis or advertising cookies. No analytics or advertising provider is therefore listed here.

If such categories are introduced later, this policy will be updated, the consent banner will offer a distinct choice, and those cookies will be placed only after any required consent.

First-party and third-party cookies

Cookies needed for the website and the account are mainly first-party cookies (placed by ACL Voice). The preference technologies described above are stored locally in your browser.

Technical providers needed to operate the service (hosting, telephony, technology providers) may, in the context of the authenticated service, use cookies or technologies strictly necessary to their service. No third-party advertising cookies are currently used on the public website.

How to manage cookies

You can:

  • Use the site’s Cookie Settings module to accept or refuse preference technologies.
  • Configure your browser to block or delete cookies. The steps vary by browser (privacy / cookie settings).
  • Where relevant, use your device settings relating to local storage.

Disabling certain necessary cookies through the browser may degrade or prevent access to authenticated areas.
